A prestigious project with attention to detail that aims to recreate a sumptuous and at the same time welcoming setting. The suites have a unique and enviable view on one of the most iconic monuments in the country, the cathedral of Milan. The building that houses them is itself a monument that carries with it the history of Milan.
Carminati Palace
The building owes its name to the restaurant Carminati, which replaced the historic brewery Casanova. It was built in the late 1860s for Giacomo Cesati, a wealthy industrialist.
Its structure, divided by the Passage of the Cathedral that connects the square to via Orefici, has an elegant facade, marked by tall pilasters and windows decorated with tympanums, while refined details such as capitals and corbels enrich the appearance.
In the twentieth century, the palace became an icon of commercial Milan thanks to the advertising signs that adorned it, also immortalized in the verses of Umberto Saba in the poetry Milano.
Interior Design for AF Duomo

Contract District Group has curated the interior design project, selecting excellent partners for furniture and materials: Lema for wardrobes, furniture and accessories, Karol for bathroom furnishings, Cesana for shower cubicles, Gessi for sanitary and taps, Listone Giordano for wooden floors, Lualdi for modular doors and panels, Florim for ceramic coverings and Resstende for high sun protection curtains.
This project, located in an exceptional location on a total area of 1,800 square meters, 500 of which renovated, is housed in a historic building from 1867, protected by the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage, and represents the scenographic backdrop of the two most iconic squares of Milan, between the Cathedral and the medieval Piazza dei Mercanti.
AF Duomo will offer its guests a unique and privileged accommodation, designed for an international luxury clientele, both business and leisure, who can enjoy a series of exclusive services, such as concierge, cleaning and breakfast on request, a refined private wine cellar, Catering services, baby sitting, personal shopper, dog sitting and much more.

The CDG team does not stop there and already an ambitious new project will come to life in front of the Castello Sforzesco, with 60 residential units, where the tailoring of the design will be the distinctive element.
