An experiential journey dedicated to Italian research into sustainable flooring solutions. Listone Giordano will present its innovative collection of wood floors, celebrating the Circular Economy project: Graphit and Terre di Vigna.

Terre di Vigna / Player: Listone Giordano and Passoni Design.

Terre di Vigna is a line of naturally colored wood flooring. The particular hue is obtained by a patented process for coloring wood that exploits the intrinsic properties of wine and pomace.

Thanks to the natural characterics of wood, particularly Oak and Ash, which are rich in tannins, these substances – combined with iron oxide – interact with the wood, triggering a self-coloring chemical reaction. Other natural pigments can be used, such as turmeric, sandalwood, spirulina algae, resulting in a variety of different hues. The process is completely free of harmful emissions and absolutely non-polluting.

The featured product is Terre di Vigna Heritage 55 Filo di Lama Mirantico

Player: Listone Giordano and Alisea Recycled & Reused Objects Design

Industrial symbiosis happens when waste from an industry becomes a raw material for another, creating added value. Graphit, in fact, is a wooden flooring that uses graphite residues from the processing of industrial plants, transforming the waste into a resource. The supply chain of origin of the material is completely traced.

The coating thus obtained also gives the surface resistance and durability properties. The project, which also concerns the development of a specific application system, was created in partnership with Alisea–Recycled & Reused Objects Design, a Company that has made Reuse and Recycling a form of corporate identity since 1994.
