Opera Aperta
The harmony
of classicism in the rhythm
of a timeless design
Natural Genius Opera Aperta, the result of the synergy between Studio Piet Boon and Listone Giordano, transforms the majesty of Renaissance architecture into a tactile, contemporary experience. The project draws its vital inspiration from a journey through the masterpieces of Italian art, where the detail of a historic façade revealed the key to reinterpreting the horizontal surface.

“The Renaissance is not an era confined to history books, but a language of eternal proportions. Opera Aperta is born from a pursuit of excellence where a passion for natural materials meets the precision of architectural detail, elevating the floor to a true protagonist of the home. The elegance of historic Italian façades sheds the weight of stone to become a rhythm in wood.”

The geometries
The design focuses on the study of proportions and on the search for a gesture that can be strongly present without ever dominating the environment. Opera Aperta plays with two-dimensionality, translating the rhythmic scanning of classical buildings into a floor that challenges static perception and invites visual movement. The aesthetic is defined by extreme formal purity, capable of adding a distinctive character to interiors through a play of interlocking elements and directions. The innovation of Opera Aperta lies in its ability to transform wood into a pure architectural element, where the raw material engages in dialogue with light and space. The result is a cultured, timeless surface—a tribute to history that looks to the future of interior design with discretion and charisma.
